There are many schools these days that offer MBA programs for "working adults".

Examples of such schools are University of Phoenix, Capella University, or Walden University.

Working adult schools cater to those adults that want to come back to school to finish their degree.

These type of schools also offer advanced learning such as MBA degrees.

Higher education is more valued than ever before. It is practically a necessity to have a college degree. Schools for working adults have satisfied this growing need.

There are two intersting dynamics when it comes to schools for working adults...

• First, these schools are very non-traditional in nature. Therefore, they often do not have specialized accreditation, such as AACSB accreditation. However, many do hold regional accreditation.
• Second, most working adult schools offer online degree programs. The online delivery method seems to be a good fit with adult education. Therefore, it makes sense that so many of these schools offer online education.

By its very nature, an MBA for working adults is delivered in a part-time format. As mentioned above, it can aslo be online or in some form of distance learning format. Most MBA programs for working adults are not executive or full-time programs.

Adult education programs seem to have filled a gap that many "traditional" schools were not able to fill. Working adult schools make classes available at times that are more convinient to the "non-traditional" student. This is a good path for many working adult students and may a good fit for you.
